Recruitment Process
After application you will be invited in for an registered visit with one of the Care Manager, here we will explain Quality24's ethos and the work we offer. If your application is successful you will be required to provide the following information:
• Completed Registration Form
• Full work history
• Interview with a Quality24 Care consultant
• Proof of Identity
• Proof of National Insurance Number or other right to work
• Minimum of 2 satisfactory, written, references.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
• Health Declaration (for Nurses)
• Evidence of Qualifications and experience
• Proof of NMC registration (qualified Nursing staff only)
While we are waiting for your reference and DBS to come back, we will put you forward for your induction training.
Initial Training
Quality24 Care staff attend mandatory training which meets the requirements of the nationally recognised Care Certificate induction standards . Find out what is included in our induction training
Training is carried out annually and additional training is given if required. In addition, all staff are issued Quality24 Care handbooks which details our policies and procedures.
Our training is carried at our local office with an experienced trainer If you are new to care we will arrange for shadow shifts to be completed, this will give you some experience in a live setting with experienced staff there for support..
Shadowing
A fantastic experience to allow you to put into practice what you have learnt in training and to allow you to develop essential skills necessary for you to provide an excellent service to the people you are going to care for
• All members of staff are able to shadow with a senior member of our team to ensure that they are suitable, competent and have the right attitude to work with adults with physical or learning disabilities.
• In addition it allows you the opportunity to gain confidence with practical skills.
• Shadowing can be arranged at any time to support you to learn and develop best practice.
Supervisions
• Staff supervisions are carried out every 3 months
• Field supervision for all staff every 3 months.
• Spot checks carried out every 3 months.
• Annual staff appraisals.
