Home Care Services 

 

Live-in or 24-hour care includes invaluable, round-the-clock 24-hour availability.Live-in care is more typically requested in the case where care or supervision is required on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis. A Live-in caregiver provides 24/7 around the clock assistance and monitoring in the client’s home but does not move into the home. There is usually more than one caregiver assigned to a Live-in case if 7 day coverage is needed.  Traditionally, the caregiver is to sleep in a separate room near to the care-recipient or if necessary in a sitting room close by-should this be needed. In some situations, a Live-in case could be assigned to a single caregiver, or days can be broken up into two 12-hour shifts.  Live-in care is not appropriate for everyone but works well for clients who are still independent with minimal to moderate assistance. Live-in home care is also often the best solution for those clients transitioning out of in-facility Care Home.
